SCHOOL COUNSELLOR

Job Description:

The School Counsellor works closely with the school management in planning and implementing a school-wide counselling system. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct counselling intervention to at-risk students
  • Conducting case consultations to school personnel and parents
  • Training teachers and parents on counselling-related issues
  • Identifying, devising and delivering specialised group guidance programmes for at-risk students who need additional help in the area of social and emotional development, as evidenced by social, emotional and behavioural concerns presented by these students

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a Degree in Counselling, Social Work or a related discipline
  • Should have experience in dealing with youths and their families, and possess strong case management skills
  • Having worked in a school environment will be an added advantage
  • Having received training in counselling from an institution recognised by the Singapore Association for Counselling will also be an added advantage
