Job Summary
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teacher, Facility Services (FS) with a strong background in facility management. In this role, you will inspire and equip students with essential vocational skills, workplace readiness, and positive learning attitudes through engaging and industry-relevant teaching. Beyond classroom instruction, you will also mentor students in co-curricular activities (CCA), supporting their holistic growth and character development.
Role and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Facility Services.

Develop students' technical knowledge and practical skills aligned with industry standards.

Design and implement authentic learning experiences including hands-on activities and simulations.

Assess and monitor student progress using both practical and theoretical evaluations.

Maintain a safe, well-equipped, and conducive learning environment in classrooms.

Apply effective classroom management strategies to support positive student behaviour and learning attitudes.

Support students' character development, work ethics, and employability skills.

Mentor and guide students in CCAs, fostering teamwork, leadership, and resilience.

Organise and supervise industry exposure programmes (e.g., internships, workplace visits).

Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to strengthen curriculum delivery.

Contribute to school-wide initiatives and programmes that support holistic student development.

Infuse personal passions and expertise into lessons to enrich students' learning experiences.
Personal Competencies, Qualifications and Experiences

Diploma or degree in Building Services, Facilities Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industry practice related to the subject, or teaching in a field that connects to the role

Preferably with teaching qualification (e.g., PCTE, ACTEP) or willingness to undergo teacher training.

Familiarity with workplace safety standards and practices.

Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and learner-coaching approach

Strong classroom management skills.

Passion for working with youths and supporting their holistic development.
Preferred Credentials

Experience in vocational training or applied learning environments.

Recognised teaching certifications (e.g., PCTE, ACTEP).

Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
