Job Description:

The Allied Educator (Learning & Behavioural Support) provides structured and systematic support to students with special educational needs (SEN), and enable them to integrate better in school. The key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and designing support structures/strategies/resources, and providing in-class support and/or individual and small-group intervention/ specialised remediation to students with SEN
  • Designing and developing skills and intervention resource packages for teachers. Plan and provide school-based training for teachers to increase awareness and support for students with SEN
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of intervention and support provided for students with SEN regularly and recommending improvements to enhance existing support at the school level
  • Collaborating and consulting with parents and external agencies/ professionals in ensuring the support and well-being of students with SEN
  • It will be an advantage to be able to conduct Standardised Literacy Assessments for students surfaced with literacy and/or language difficulties [in consultation with Educational Psychologists]

Job Requirements:

  • Resilient individual with a passion for working with students with special educational needs
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess at least a Diploma or its equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in handling students with Special Education Needs (SEN) in a school setting
